New to cannabis or ready for your next role, here's everything you need to know about using the board — what it costs (nothing), how applying works, and what employers are looking for.
Does it cost anything to use the job board?
No. Browsing listings, searching by category or location, and applying to jobs are all free. There's no account fee, no application fee, and no catch.
Do I need an account to browse or apply?
You can browse listings without an account. Typically applications go directly to the employer.
How do I apply for a job?
Each listing includes the employer's preferred application method — usually a link or email address. Applications go directly to the employer, not to Minnesota Cannabis College. Follow the instructions in the listing, and reach out to the employer with any questions about the role itself.
Do I need to take a Minnesota Cannabis College class before applying?
No. The job board is open to everyone, whether or not you've studied with us. That said, our training programs are designed to prepare people for exactly these kinds of roles — if you want to strengthen your application, visit our Classes→ page to see what's currently enrolling.
Do I need to be 21 to work in cannabis?
Age and eligibility requirements vary by employer and by role. Many positions that involve handling cannabis require applicants to be 21 or older, but some roles with ancillary businesses may not. Check each listing, and contact the employer directly if a requirement isn't clear.
Is Minnesota Cannabis College the employer?
No. Employers post their own openings and make their own hiring decisions. We host the board as a free community resource connecting people who share a passion for the plant with the businesses building this industry. Everything employers need to know about posting positions, managing listings through the Job Dashboard, listing requirements, and connecting with Minnesota Cannabis College graduates.
How much does it cost to post a job?
Nothing. Posting is free — no commissions, no fees, no catch. As a nonprofit, our goal is simply to connect Minnesota's cannabis workforce with the employers who need them.
Who can post jobs?
Cannabis businesses of every kind — retailers, cultivators, manufacturers, tribal cannabis operators, ancillary and professional services, and organizations hiring for cannabis-related roles. We welcome full-time, part-time, temporary, freelance, internship, and volunteer listings.
How do I post a job?
Visit our Post a Job page→, fill out the listing form, and submit. Employers need to create an account, which can be done at the time of posting, listings are reviewed before going live — typically within 48-hrs.
How long will my listing stay live?
Listings remain active for 30 days — employers can relist or extend if the position has not been filled within that time.
Can I edit or remove my listing after it's posted?
Yes. Use the Job Dashboard→ to manage your active listings, make edits, mark a position as filled, or take a listing down.
Are there any requirements for listings?
Listings should be for real, current openings and comply with applicable employment and nondiscrimination laws. We reserve the right to remove listings that are inaccurate, misleading, or inconsistent with our mission.
